CLUB POLICIES

FEES

Fees are due on demand and are non-returnable. Failure to pay fees within the allocated time frame will result in loss of a child’s place in the class. Fees are due in full within 7 days of the invoice being sent, failure to pay within 7 days will result in a £10.00 late payment charge, however spaces will remain secure for a further 7 days. Failure to pay within 14 days will result in your child’s space being allocated to someone on our waiting list.

Details of how to pay are printed on the invoice, please note fees are payable by bank transfer or cheque. Monthly standing orders are optional to members training more than 2.5 hours per week.

MEMBERSHIP

All members are required to pay an annual Airborne administration fee.  This fee is £8.00 per year per child. This will help fund further coaching education, new gymnastics equipment and vital administration. This will be an annual set fee from 1 September. Club admin fee is due with every September invoice.

All members (with the exception of school clubs) require British gymnastics (the sports national governing body) membership which includes personal accident insurance.  The British Gymnastics insurance year begins 1 October as is £17.00. You will directly pay this to British Gymnastics and upon payment we receive an email to confirm your cover. If this is not paid on the 1st October or upon your first non-trial session, your child will NOT be able to take part in their class. 

PHOTOGRAPHY

No photography, videoing or recording of training sessions are permitted. With parental consent the Club may use photographs or video recordings of gymnasts for training, coaching or publicity purposes only.

MEMBERS’ DETAILS

Airborne will retain members’ details on paper and on a confidential database for administration and in-house mailings. Members’ information will be disclosed only in a medical emergency. Members have a right of access to any information held on them and additional rights under the Data Protection Act 1998.

CONCERNS & COMPLAINTS

Concerns or complaints about coaching matters should be made to the coach in charge of a training session in the first instance, then to the owner of Airborne via email. Concerns or complaints about matters of child protection should be made to the Club’s Welfare Officer. Concerns or complaints about administration should be made to the Club via email. All concerns will be acknowledged and dealt with promptly.

UNIFORM

Airborne Gymnastics Code of Dress should be adhered to at all times when representing the club. This also complies with British Gymnastics British Code of Dress for gymnastic activities.

Due to health and safety regulations, Airborne leotards will be compulsory for all advanced recreational and squad gymnasts, and should be purchased before starting your child’s first session. Recreational leotards are optional, however if purchasing a leotard we would prefer it to be the club leotard. If your child does not wish to wear a leotard then leggings and a t-shirt (with NO hood) must be worn. Boys are to wear shorts and an Airborne polo to training.

CANCELLATION OF CLASSES

If we cancel a regular class we will attempt to offer an alternative class day, time or date to substitute this cancelled class, this is known as a ‘make-up class’. If you are unable to attend a ‘make-up class’ a refund will not be applicable. If circumstances that are out of our control (such as a venue cancelling due to bad weather, power cut etc) no refund or make-up class will take effect.

UNDERSTANDING RISK

Due to the nature of gymnastic activities, we wish to inform you that the possibility of injury does exist. As part of the classes at Airborne, members will participate in vigorous athletic activity. In an effort to make the sport of Gymnastics, as safe as it can be, the staff will instruct all members concerning the necessary rules and the correct mechanics of all skills. It is vital that members follow the coach’s skill instructions, training rules and all club policies in order to decrease the possibility of injury. By attending a Airborne class, it is deemed that you assume and accept all risks associated with such participation.

SAFEGUARDING AND PROTECTING CHILDREN

Airborne Gymnastics Club is fully committed to safeguarding all our members, we adhere to the strict guidelines under British Gymnasts in regards to the welfare of our children. All of our coaches undertake a safeguarding and protecting children course.
